Perl ProgrammingFind Friends This is a VERY simple perl script to find friends that are logged on to RA. It started as a nasty shell script that I hacked together. I eventually got it to its present state. Download version 1.2 pix2tn Modifications I found this script, pix2tn, a while back and started playing with it. It creates a thumbnailed index of a set of images. It didn't do quite what I wanted, but I figured that I could modify it. THese are what resulted:: TN: This script only creates the thumbnailed images. getDilbert Requires: wget, perl, an SGI (or some programming skills to custimize the script) This program downloads the dilbert comics for the current day and the two previous days. It then displays them on the background of the desktop on an SGI. I wrote it because I was tired of having to look at all the extra stuff on the screen when reading the daily comic. Also, using a cron job, you can have it already displayed by the time you get to work every day. Download it! |
